What it does
- Every account in one place Gmail, Outlook, Office 365 and any IMAP or SMTP server, side by side in one inbox.
- Sign in properly OAuth for Google and Microsoft, so your password is never typed into the app or stored by it.
- Works offline Mail is kept in a local database, so reading and full-text search stay instant with no connection.
- Meetings, handled Calendar invitations are recognised in your mail, and you can accept, decline or propose from the message itself.
- Warns you about bad mail Look-alike senders and deceptive links are flagged before you click them.
- AI only if you want it Optional thread summaries and reply drafting, using your own API key. Off until you turn it on.
Where it runs
AxMail is available for Windows as a desktop application, and for Android as a mobile app. macOS and Linux builds are in progress from the same codebase.
The desktop version has a full three-pane layout with a reading pane, keyboard shortcuts, a system tray icon and native notifications. The mobile version keeps the phone layout you would expect.
Privacy, in one paragraph
We never store your mail. It is fetched from your provider to your device and stored there; your passwords and sign-in tokens go into your operating system's secure credential store. There is no analytics, no telemetry and no tracking in the app, so we genuinely do not know who uses it. Two optional features do use a server of ours in Germany — instant new-mail alerts, and the AI assistant — and each one asks before it sends anything. The Privacy Policy sets out every case where AxMail contacts anything other than your own mail provider — there are five, and you control all of them.
